Callbutton

Callbutton, based in Seattle, provides custom call tracking solution to advertising and media companies that generate sales leads for their clients.

Michael joined the Callbutton in its infancy in in January 2001 and starting selling Callbutton’s sole product Click-to-Call. Sales of this cutting edge technology were swift and that made sense to Michael as the keypad and phone numbers were “going away in 10 years”. Unfortunately, users never adopted the technology and as use went away so too did the clients.

In 2003, Michael mothballed Callbutton and spun off a separate company named Markette Systems. Markette Systems focused on call tracking using toll-free numbers. The business grew modestly and 2 years later Michael sold its assets to a competitor in the call tracking space.

Recognizing that large users o call tracking were being forced into “one-size fits all” call tracking packages, Michael re=launched Callbutton in 2006 to be the custom call tracking company. Businesses reselling call tracking finally had a firm they could work with to provide truly tailored call tracking solutions.

More than 10 years have passed since the founding of Callbutton and American businesses seem to have an insatiable appetite for phone numbers in their use in call tracking. As of 2011, Callbutton is managing over 100,000 tracking numbers and continues to grow year-over-year.
